| Elementary &
Preschools |
| Educators will find that
we meet the standards, and have the expertise, humor, patience, and
skill to teach children of all ages. Younger and older children alike
will love the movement, dance, and songs we offer. We talk to the kids,
not at them.
Our shows are curriculum
based to reflect studies of sociology, music, geography, and language.
Instrumentation includes
steel drum, vocals, guitar, bass, hand percussion, and, at times,
keyboard and congas.
Our steel drummer offers
a synopsis of how the steel drum Is made, its history and origins.
For preschoolers, we
offer a scaled down presentation filled with easy movement, singalong
songs, and musical games. |

| Canciones
Para Los Ninos |
| (Songs For
Children)
Half in Spanish,
half in English, this participatory, sing-a-long
presentation is geared for younger children, their families, and
teachers.
The goal of Joan Robb's
performance/presentation is, (through songs, games, and fun) to teach
children simple words in another language. This will enable children to
begin to better understand another culture other than their own.
Accompanying herself on guitar, Joan sings and facilitates
participatory, traditional, and original songs and games in Spanish and
English. At times, the same songs will be demonstrated twice, once in
each language. Most of the material selected is easy to imitate through
voice, movement and rhythm. Spanish songs are culled from countries and
places including Puerto Rico, Mexico, Cuba, and South and Central
America. |
